Went fishing at Hythe by Grub’s groyne with JW1 today. It turned out to be an enjoyable session with 7 dabs, 6 whiting (1 sizeable, getting on for 1lb) and 2 five bearded rockling(first for me this year). The weather was warm and sunny and the fishing good. The venue is a comfortable place to fish although the climb up the shingle can get to be a bit tiring. we fished for about 3 hours up and one down.
Hythe definitely seems to be the best bet at the moment. and cheap too, No parking fees, no fishing fees adn no tackle loss. Not only that but there are plenty of fish there

It was a great day.The weather was fantastic and John is very good company. He managed about the same as me but his dabs were a bit bigger than mine.
It would have been nice to have been able to put up a catch report on the forum. I dont know where you ahve got the idea that its gone quiet from

Same here Damon, great day out, a bit worried about sun burn, but as I acheived my ambition of catching a 5 bearded rockling, who cares.
Haven’t worked out how post your catch picture up yet, but i’m working on it.
